And happy Canada Day, too—though of course Canadians have nothing to be happy about, since at present, they can't enter the Caption Contest. When will a Canadian taste the kind of glory that David Kempler, winner #100, is basking in right now at his home in Island Park? I will continue to ask this question!

This is Robert Lemmings with the law firm Lemmings, Lemmings, Lemmings, and Lemmings. Being the only one that hasn't gone over the cliff yet, I thought I'd attempt answer your question. Money. To open the contest to Canada would require being applicable to the many laws and regulations that makes Canada a wonderful place to live, and America the place where you can enter the caption contest. As for The District of Columbia...they cheat. Hope this helps!
