Banks, But No Banks

I can’t believe there aren’t a whole bunch of new banks popping up to replace them! Where do banks come from, anyway? Why do we have to depend on these losers? Why are we sitting around helpless? Questions, questions.

I know! They’re getting bought out by someone. I’m so sad; it was all surface marketing, I know, but WaMu was the first bank where I could actually say I enjoyed everyone I dealt with, the online interface, and dealing with them generally. I felt safe with it. Now I think my scrawny little dollars are going to sent out to beg in the streets like urchins with scarcely a halfpenny among them.
