Hey! I just saw the “Mona Lisa” two weeks ago!

What did you think? When I saw the Mona Lisa for the first time, I wasn’t as excited as I thought I’d be. There were crowds and crowds milling about La Gioconda, while equally great or even better art had no spectators.

Well, I literally dashed into the large room, gawked from behind a massive throng, and split. I was most amused that the freestanding wall bearing La Gioconda was what, forty feet high? Sufficiently outsize for a painting that is today pure phenomenon. I enjoyed the Roman statuary and Dutch/German masters quite a bit more.
